Sun gleams off the waterfront with the rising sun
Small waves gently ripple onto the shore
The sound of water meeting pebbles
The wind brushes my hair across my face
It carries my sorrow away
Alleviating it, if only for a moment
The warmth of the sun tickles my skin
A smile plays onto my face
The moment is beautiful, it is infinite
Not a bad aura in the vicinity
Quiet clarity stays with the never ending drift of the sea
When I originally got this crazy dog it was out of desperation to change my life and mindset. I was in a very dark place in my head. I felt like having someone or something that relied on me would help keep my head up. Ember has done just that, but all in different ways than expected. It is a truly beautiful thing to watch a dog read your mood and be exactly what you need in the moment. She knows when im throwing myself a pity party and makes me play, she knows when I just need to cry it out and is there to lick the tears, and she knows how to push all my buttons in a matter of minutes.
Through all the ups and downs of my life in the last few years, this crazy pup has been there.
Again as I find myself exhausted mentally and physically she knows just what I need to stay afloat.
Dogs are something else.
